Jodi PfarrJodi Pfarr is a consultant for Catholic Charities, assisting program staff with skill development and program enhancement. She worked previously as the Manager of Transitional Housing, where she created programs for those coming out of a shelter or off the street. Ms. Pfarr is a critical debriefer for the St. Paul Police Department. She sits on the board of the Downtown Minneapolis Neighborhood Association. Ms. Pfarr also consults for aha! Process, providing training on poverty throughout Minnesota and nationwide.

Objectives of Training

  • Develop an accurate mental model of generational poverty and explore the impact of poverty on those living in it
  • Review research on the causes of poverty
  • Explore the hidden rules of economic class
  • Examine the impact of poverty on family structure
  • Identify ways in which the information can be used to improve relationships and outcomes at individual, organizational, and community levels

Continuing Education

A certificate of attendance will be provided, along with a training syllabus.

In addition, CEUs for this training have already been secured from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). CEUs in additional fields are being applied for.

The training is offered at a reduced price as a result of the generous financial contributions of the sponsors.
