The Northfield Public Library offeres print and non-print materials on various parenting issues available to check out at no cost with a library card. We carry books, videos and magazines that address parenting skills and advice. The library offers free internet computers and access to several online databases with parenting resources. Our early literacy center, First Steps, provices a fun environment for parents and their preschoolers to play together while learning pre-literacy skills. There are several preschool programs for ages birth - 5 years throughout the year that encourage parents to read with their children and to develop their children's language skills. |
