| Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Minnesota is a youth serving non profit agency that matches caring adult mentors in one-to-one relationships with in need or at risk youth aged 4 - 14. We currently serve over 400 children in Rice, Steele, and Dodge Counties. Children are referred to us through human services, schools, or the parents themselves. Our volunteers range in age from 16 to senior citizens and are all fully screened, trained individuals. Professional casework staff supervise and support these matches throughout their duration. |
Communities Served: All of Rice County, Steele & Dodge Counties
| Age Range of Clients Served: 4 - 14, once a child is in a match they can stay matched until they are 18 or graduate from high school |
Hours: 8 am - 4 pm, schedule appointments at any time that works for the family
Eligibility Information: Child must be "in need" or "at risk"
| Capacity to Accommodate Clients who Speak Languages other than English: We have Spanish speaking employees and hire interpretors for other languages as needed |
