| Northfield named among "100 Best Communities for Young People" |
Northfield was recently named as one of the "100 Best Communities for Young People" by the national America's Promise organization.
The 15 high school students in the Northfield Mayor's Youth Council wrote and submitted the application this fall. Northfield was selected from 750 applications nationwide – Northfield’s application was one of the only ones written entirely by youth themselves!

Skateboard Coalition fundraiser set for Sunday, February 10
Help local youth meet their challenge grant |
The Northfield Skateboard Coalition will host a pancake breakfast on Sunday, February 10, 2008, from 8-9:30 a.m. The event will be held at Applebee’s (2433 Highway 3 South, Northfield). Breakfast will include all-you-can-eat pancakes, juice, coffee, scrambled eggs, and an order of sausage.
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door, from a Skateboard Coalition member, or by contacting HCI (664-3524, info@northfieldhci.org).
As part of a challenge grant awarded to the Skateboard Coalition, HCI will match all donations to the Coalition, so each ticket purchased will result in an extra $5 for the Coalition’s efforts!
