Tobacco use prevention activities, primarily for youth, pregnant women, and parents; some smoking cessation classes; information and referral services. Facilitate STAAT (Students Taking Action Against Tobacco) group in Faribault; sponsor smoking cessation class in the Faribault and Northfield School Districts; work with WIC participants to promote tobacco free home environments for children; provide education, information, and referral to the public.

Age Range of Clients Served: All ages, but primarily youth and parents

Hours: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday

Fees: None for health promotion services

Eligibility Information: Rice County resident

Capacity to Accommodate Clients with Limited Financial Resources: No one is denied services because of inability to pay; no fees for health promotion services

Capacity to Accommodate Clients who Speak Languages other than English: Spanish and Somali language interpreters available by arrangement; language line available; many health promotion materials in both Spanish and English
