| Recovery School of Southern Minnesota is a Charter school for chemically dependent students in 9-12th grades interested in recovery based education. Centrally located in Owatonna, MN, students from a variety of areas (including Northfield, Mankato, Albert Lea, Rochester and Owatonna) attend a 7-period school day, which involves core academics, restorative justice practices, sober support groups and a close knit environment to continue focusing on a recovery program. Participation in a chemical dependency treatment program at some point in the student's life, along with some knowledge of the AA/NA 12 step and other support groups, are encouraged.
