Subacute detoxification using medical monitoring and social methods to provide safe detoxification from the effects of mood-altering chemicals. Pharmacological interventions may be used to prevent or alleviate withdrawal symptoms. A chemical dependency assessment is completed on all individuals prior to discharge and appropriate recommendations and referrals are made. Residential treatment services are provided by a multidisciplinary team of chemical dependency counselors, nurses, chaplains, teachers, medical personnel, and mental health workers who collaborate with the client to identify and develop an individualized treatment plan. Services include group and individual counseling sessions, educational opportunities, medical monitoring and nursing care, recreational opportunities, family education and groups, and support groups. School services for adolescents are provided by teachers from Independent School District 241, who work closely with the adolescent's home district to best meet his or her educational needs. Intensive outpatient groups meet three times a week. Services include a combination of education and group therapy as well as family education and groups. Individual sessions are held as needed for treatment planning, progress review, and as indicated by the client's needs. A multidisciplinary team including counselors, physicians, mental health workers, supervisors, and chaplains is available for case or consultation.
